Sally Schmitt is a work of art. I have just read all the beginning stuff before the recipes. I like her a lot. Yes, this is one of those kinds of cookbooks- the kind where you buy it for the recipes but find the chef is an amazing person in addition to his/her culinary prowess. Her words are wise and down to earth.
