Al is a complete ass. He lies, repeatedly, to the woman he apparently loves. He has a cliche "strained" relationship with his family.
Lou needs to work on her self esteem. I've been the Wisconsin girl without self respect, so I kind of get it, but I wouldn't have accepted this shit. I would NEVER speak to Al again. There's no way to trust someone who would propose without explaining who he was.
