[spoiler alert] sort of (or just very natural experience of a vet’s daily experiences).
read Chapt 11, I have to comment: like so many of the stories… Dr James Harriot describes the putting down of a older gentleman’s dog who suffers painfully with a large cancerous growth (inoperable) — but, his skill with dealing not just with his patient, it’s the dog’s owner, that needs the veterinarian’s care!!
