LOL! That excerpt! Harlequins are something else. LOVE R Donald - hope you're enjoying the read.
@Kristina, I've been looking at all Robyn Donald books on GR by date. I think this book is her earliest one. I want to compare her earlier writings with her later ones.
@Beeg, I am! I've read a few of her years ago and either those books were just meh or my reading taste has changed ;D
@Angela, wow is right! I couldn't believe how cutting this H was.
I have been reading old Harlequin books and they are the worst for hoe females are treated
@Christine, I always look at the publishing date to get a better social context of gender roles/norms/etc. But some characters & plotlines are beyond the norm. Lol!
