That’s so great that you and your pup have benefited from this book!

When the page count is off it’s because you are reading a different edition that the one selected here. You can update the edition of your books so that it is correct. Let me figure out the steps how to explain that and I’ll post those next.

Select the book title. It will bring you to the screen that shows your activity with just that book (reading, want to read, etc).

Scroll down a bit to select book details that has an exclamation point icon above it.

Look down a bit until you see Editions and over on the right side of that line is a right arrow >. Click on the arrow.

Now you’ll be looking at a list of all the published editions of the book that Goodreads has recorded. Scroll down until you find the edition you are reading. Since the page count is what is most important for recording your reading progress, even if you can’t find the exact edition you are reading (this has sometimes happened to me with older editions) try to find an edition that has about the same number of pages as yours.

When you find it, click on Switch to this edition. A warning pop up screen will come up that says Are you sure you want to move your review to a new edition of this book? Click Ok.

The change will be made but sometimes I’ve had to back out of where I am or close down the app altogether before I can see that the book edition has been changed.

What’s strange about this book problem, is that I scanned the ISBN number on the back, so it should have just

No, the ISBN number doesn't coincide with the specific edition.

I know that the ISBN is supposed to be a unique number to edition, but as I've searched by ISBN over the years on Amazon, Goodreads, etc I have seen how the ISBN sometimes just seems connected to the title and not the specific edition/publication that I'm looking for.
