Can't stop reading this book. I only have two stories left plus that bonus comic by Karl R. De Mesa. Reading and then finishing The Kambubulag story was like reading a very good creepy pasta :p When I get home, I also plan on watching three Filipino horror films at that. Why must I do this to myself? XD

Good stuff. This is definitely one of my favorite anthologies of the year next to Melancholy of Mechagirl which I read earlier this year. I'm definitely reading Karl R. De Masa and the other authors whose work were featured here.

The last two stories of the collection didn't have the gut-punch I was expecting. Oh well, at least the earlier stories were superb. I'm saving the comics story for tomorrow.

"K-10 Mushroom" is creepy as fuck and a bit too close to home. I ate it up so much even if it did upset my stomach a bit. I'm really, really enjoying reading this anthology. The stories have a brevity to them that's memorable that you can't easily shake off.

I think I'll enjoy reviewing each story because they're all very impressive so far. "Salot" specifically haunted me. I also liked "Best Served Cold". And now I'm reading the lovely, piercing prose of "The Different Degrees of Night". Amazing collection!

This is an exquisite anthology. The first two stories were so vivid and engrossing that I truly felt like I was a part of the events. I can't wait to read the rest of the tales, and to look for other titles in this anthology series (they also have fantasy and sci-fi collections!)
