Gave up just over half way. Not terrible but utterly forgettable. The world and characters feel shallow, the plot structure is simultaneously mechanical and bloated and very little of interest happens.

There are some parts done will, I cared for two of the four main characters and some passages were well written, but overall it wasn't worth another four hundred pages
