This was my first Emily Rose but won't be my last! The instant sparks between Maverick and Gwen was a great hook into the story but I LOVED Ellie (Gwen's little sister) and Maverick. Ellie has Down Syndrome- he loved her at first sight and the patience he had with her was beautiful. The his family embraced her and treated her like a member of the family from the get go was chef's kiss!!
