Unrelated to this book, but this practice of denying people hygienic methods of disposing with waste is ridiculous. Anyone that enforces it deserves to have feaces left in their doorway.

It was only due to advocacy in the '70s that we here in the U.S. don't have pay toilets in addition to the customers or staff-only toilets that already exist.
