🤔 I'm not so sure about this one. The heroine is too much of a doormat at this point. I like my heroine to be made of sterner stuff.

I'm not sure what is wrong with me. The book is highly readable, though.
I was like you. Unsure and hesitant. Then I sneaked a peek at some reviews and ploughed through. If you like stories where there is character growth, and if like me, you’re a sucker for second chances, read on.

I wasn't satisfied with the lack of grovelling, though. After putting the heroine through the wringer, he should be begging for her forgiveness. I'm a sucker for second chance romance as well. It makes for a very angsty read.
I agree with you there on the grovelling, rather the lack of ... it would have made my day if there was more of that and a grander gesture.
