Quan and Anna are very nice and sweet together, but I think this is a little unrealistic? Like I don’t know anyone who had this much tender kissing, hugging and heart to heart conversations from a casual hookup/one-night stand. The progression of the romance happened a little too fast in my opinion.

@aly right? This is totally a fantasy scenario and never happens in real life lol. Quan went from “This is totally not a serious thing. Just a hookup. We both know it” to “I don’t want this night to end. We have to think about how to get through our intimacy problems” — all in one hookup session. How is this realistic? My rating’s 3 stars so far. I think I prefer the romantic progression in The Roommate better as it took a while before they got lovey-dovey with each other and were at first in denial about finding the other romantically viable.
@aly would you say The Kiss Quotient is your favorite Hoang book? How would you rank this trilogy of companion novels? @ gloria I’m gonna hold off my verdict/review until I finish the novel. So far though I think the progression of the romance feels off to me because it’s just too fast and unrealistic. But I like how reparative its stance is on sex and boundaries — I like that Quan asks Anna about how she likes to be touched and felt and she’s not just some sex object to him. I think this is how sex is supposed to be like. I just wish the romantic progression matched this tender sexual stuff going on lol.
TKQ is definitely the best for me. i feel like the series depleted as it goes. i fairly enjoy khai's story and was expecting something good for quan's but it just never does 😭
