I don’t know if I was reading the same book with stellar reviews everyone else gave but this was clearly not the book for me. I received a copy for an honest review.

Pros:
Interesting magical concepts.

The brother is much more interesting than the sister.

Cons:
Flat dialogue.

Tossed immediately into things and the first 10% has no answers.
