The opening short story reads like this...
"I cannot explain time, but I had more of it when I was younger. Tucked away in a discolored scrapbook is a Polaroid picture of me as a small girl sitting on a petrified stump the size of a VW Bug..."
I love the tone set by this imagery. There is peace in it. I need that today.
