Required reading for my sociological theories course. It’s pretty readable and makes learning about Marxist theory less intimidating. Currently reading about “the fate of the individual” and how capitalism, (despite its free markets and individuality) coerces us into a profit driven system. Capitalism creates an illusion of freedom because workers “choose” to engage in free exchange of their labor and time.
