Koji is moving to the new camp, after koji and Mr. Yoshi stop talking, there is a time hop, so we see that koji and his mother get released 2 years later, after that we see koji go to japan and see his dad for the first time in a while. and at the very end we see koji giving his dad a hug, because after all he has been through, he can finally see his dad again.

koji is thinking about running away with the boys because if they don't run they will be relocated and the boys feel that they won't be relocated they think that they will be killed, so now we have to wait and see what his decision is. I think koji will stay with his mom and I think he will be fine at his new camp

Koji has been getting bullied ever since he has gotten into the camp, but one night he got mad at his mother and ran away, he ran outside and saw a shed so he went to go hide in the shed. Turns out the bullies were inside, they tied him up and made him go steal cigarettes for a shop, after that, they didn't bully koji, So I think that koji may step up and become friends with them instead of being bullied by them

while koji is in the camp, he suspects that his mother had cheated on the father with a soldier, koji got mad and he walked away, he was still mad the next day and a elder Japanese man saw, he asked koji if he would like to come with him back to the city because he had one pass, koji said yes and took a ride across the bay. This is good for koji because this is getting his mind off of things and might make a friend

Today I learned that koji was sent to a reservation camp, which was more like a prison camp, there were limited supplies and there were bad living conditions, one thing they all had in common was that they were all Japanese, and they were all put in there because America wanted to make sure that no one could spy on us, but this is not the way to do it

we just learned that koji was in the kitchen and he heard over the radio that pearl harbor had been attacked by the Japanese, we also learn that the army set up on the golden gate bridge and they reached anyone car who appeared to be Japanese, I think that this is one of the main ideas and social issues we will see all through the book, racism
