This book is a delicate read. What I mean is you don't just barrel right in and speed read, even if you've been speed reading trained. This book is meticulous and she spends time proving everything in her thesis. Hey, after all, it is an Oxford doctoral thesis which turned into a book. Overall, this book is fascinating. History doesn't repeat itself, but ideas do - and this book is flat out frightening.

Just an impressive read. It took so long because quite frankly, you just couldn't barrel through. In my opinion, there are a lot of contemporary lessons we could learn. Our government is so divided, and so is our people. And yes, our president is extremely mythical. There's is more myth behind Obama than substance, there's no question. But, his face is placarded over everything imaginable, just like Hindenburg.

"They need only to look at him, hear his name, and the last of reason goes up in smoke. They sink into a state of befuddlement." You'd think they were talking about Barak H. Obama, Ronald Reagan, or Justin Bieber. This book is fascinating so far. It will delve into what the Myth meant, versus whether or not there was a myth.
