After so much contemporary poetry so nice to read something “normal” and “fun”. The highly amusing Gareth and Lynette story pushes all the wonderful buttons of Athurian legend from the description of Camelot to the amusing chivalric battles, with the constant harping of Lynette on Gareth’s “kitchen smell” providing a nice counterpoint.

Reading “Vivian and Merlin” I felt that “magic transportation” into a world of pure sublime beauty that only poetry can provide. Certain passages were so stirring I went back and read them out loud.
