This is promising, quite atmospheric & descriptive. Despite the writing / editing faults that give me deja vu. Sometimes a sense of too many words to mean something, tightening & sharpening needed. Others there's too much of a jump from one thing to the other, often with a dash. Last time I had this sense was with End of Love by Torrente, but this is better written & more interesting generally.
