A curious mix of personal anecdotes and cultural history, this hits the mark on why knitting is such an awesome and multi-layered activity. Like with most of my hobbies, the major appeal to me lies in the connection I feel, through the barriers of time and space, to the knitters of decades, centuries, millennia gone by, and I think this book does a good job so far of explaining that curious feeling.
