It started out so strong with the world building, character development, and setting up the mechanics of how this world operates... And then it all got flushed down the metaphorical toilet in chapter 8 and I'm confused why...
Is the author rushing for some reason? There's a lot of decisions being made that make absolutely no sense considering what has been established and characters are just coming across forced
