English does not flow easily, reads awkwardly, with a lot of passive voice. I never had to look up the definition of so many adjectives and adverbs before. And, Veblen was apparently a very boring lecturer/teacher.
2. Compare the theory in this book with Max Weber's "The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism."
