Light - shimmers and reflects off of a soldier's helmet for instance.
Yet we forget to look for contrasts. Notice the contrast in The Crowning of Christ and The Scourging between ...the violence of the jailers and the sereneness emanating from the body of Christ.

So far
....weak point: did not expect so much history of the Vatican/Popes
...strong point: introduced to new paintings I'd never seen before...especially loved "Judith and Holopherne". Have a look on Google and be amazed by Caravaggio's cinematic realism!
