Honey in the wall. I am not sure exactly what the central theme was (perhaps being too late on many levels?) but it was engagingly written and conveyed a constant sense of compulsion, mystery and intrigue arising from the everyday. 4.5.27:6

Rosewood Door. 3. Interesting enough with a door as focus for possession, insanity and romance, but overall felt a bit flat and conventional. 30:7

Ascending Dream 4. OO has a great clarity of style and this series of premonitions through the ages benefits from that style. An inevitable cycle of doomed ventures? Not sure there is any supernatural element here but there’s a sense of cosmic scale. 22.5:5

Benlian. 5. What a strange and disconcerting tale! An artist putting himself into his work quite literally (spiritually anyway). And told so naturally by the narrator (who’s probably deeply influenced by the goings-on and so likely unreliable) so that nothing is laboriously explained yet you know what’s going on. 18.5:4

Rooum. 4. Convincing story of a personal haunting, though the credibility prevents it being truly chilling I think. Well told yet again. 13.5:3

Beckoning Fair One 5 unexpectedly modern and psychological and eerie with a shocking ending. Wrote more yesterday but didn’t get saved. Phantas 4.5 well written, real sense of ebbing away and a touching conclusion. 9.5:2
