This story is about a girl named Mandy and a boy named Luke who live in the same town and keep having similar freakish appearances. They keep seeing their big dark eyes no matter how hard they hide. This freakish incident causes issues with the family and makes the children just seem troublesomMandy found something off about the skinheads like some sort of higher power than the rest.

The conflict in this story is man vs universe in which the characters Mandy and Luke keep forgetting what happened to them and keep blacking out and waking up in random places where they don't remember being. "The headache receded, but the fear grew. Because she wasn't in bed. She was outdoors. Lying on her own front porch" (Rodman 7).

In the book Abduction, I visualized how Mandy was scared of and how scary the other world forener is. "It was a familiar face. Mandy squirmed away in terror. But she was pinned in place. The black abyss rushed around her. It sucked her down. She felt its clammy force envelop her, choking off her screen" (Rodman 25).
