This reads like a scientific paper... which is kind of is. It is essentially her research, not a book. But I can get through it, I've read tough stuff before. Unless it gets really boring, I'll read it through. On page 28 she says how she helps her interviewees by driving them places or bringing them a hot meal, but she is careful not to become a social worker. It's just interesting.

The first time I heard about some of the beliefs in the AA program, I knew it was flawed....
