Forgot about all of the foreshadowing in the scene where they find the direwolf. I liked that even Catelyn was thinking that there’s signs. I also always feel so horrified when I remember Daenerys is only 13 at the start of this series

I always forget how creepy the prologue is. Especially the line about “the Others” being silent

Ned had to execute a deserter, got sad about it, and got told by Catelyn that King Robert is visiting since Jon Arryn is dead. Robert arrives and asks Ned to be his Hand of the King. Jon Snow wants to go north to the Wall, but his uncle Benjin says no, so Jon is surprisingly comforted by Tyrion Lannister. Also, Dany is being sold as a wife to Khal Drogo so her brother has an army to take back the Iron Throne.

omg the prologue felt so boring until they got to the village and the bodies were missing and suddenly it felt like a horror novel I love this
