How are you liking it so far?

Very much. I'm of an approximate age with the twins and it would seem there were some universals about growing up in the 60s no matter where you lived. Loving the characters.

Funnily enough, I wasn't really expecting to like it as much as I do but had been meaning to read since it won the Booker prize all those years ago. I have been reading it with a friend who will be cycling through Kerala in a couple of months time.
