He helped instigate a work strike in 1936, was known to participate in all sorts of off-limits activities and even attempted to kill Al Capone in the showers with half a pair of scissors. Since Alcatraz was an island with no natural resources, not even water, everything that the present needed had to be brought in by boat or barge. As such, manual labor was required to offload everything. Since the island was full of prisoners, they were used as this manual labor force. Floyd Wilson was one of the prisoners who loaded and offloaded the supplies at the docks.

Witchcraft was a large part of the Ohlone myths, and when a person was thought to have "poisoned" another, the shaman would be called in to judge and, if necessary, protect the people from the sorcerer or witch. if the poison was thought to be in the form of a curse, the shaman would need to counter it.
