How’s the Euro vs China bias in this? Too obvious? Or does it feel pretty open-eyed?

He seems to be doing a good job of being balanced. Only one of the main story lines is European, while the others (too many really) are Chinese
Rutherfurd books are not for the faint of heart. I read New York a few years back and I thought it might do me in. My brain still hurts a little when I think about it.

My brain still hurts a little when I think about it."Yeah, lots of story lines, I assume they might come back together. Lots of skipping forward in time, which is quite jarring.
New York had a ton of characters but I don't recall it jumping around in time. It was just a steady progression of decades rolling forward. Some of the characters were generational and some of the families intersected at various points in time but it sounds like China went on a wild goose chase.
