Oh dear, this is probably going to drive me mad. Laura not really being herself is very hard to swallow after five books. And where the hell is that uber baddie of darkness suddenly coming from?

Did the ending make me tear up a little? Yes.
Did it redeem the book? No.
Would I have liked it more if I had read it back then? I actually don’t think so.
This one was not neccessary. It was all over the place with too many half-assed plotlines. And it didn't do Laura - the prota and the series - justice.
Still got that surprise sequel to read. Not sure how I feel about that.

Laura is finally back in action - at least sort of. Now worried about Lukas being stupid ...
Still not sure what to think about it in general, but at least I enjoyed the past 80 pages much more.

Maybe I just outgrew this series. The writing style, which I loved back in the days, feels jarring and throws me quite a bit. I'll still finish it because I'm curious where this is going, but I'm not really invested.
