Apparently the author decided to try & insert some pearl-clutching WTFery: Cleopatra's lesbian lurve with Charmion. But it's too little too late. Cleo is a passionless brick of a narrator who suddenly needs a woman as sexual outlet because...why?

And so Cleopatra takes incense to her private temple & gives thanks to the gods...just like it's been described five times previous. Hurrah. -____- This book really is the unholy love-child of Huff & Penman.
