An almost new author. Only read one, the previous, book of hers. I did not love it. I'm 43% in and I dislike the heroine, Lady Emily. I find her combative, judgmental, and rude behavior towards the hero, Lord Colin, off putting. He is a man of the times. Not excusing him but it's understandable. And the reason for her animosity? Something that happened when she was 9 years old and he probably a similar age. Really?!
