While this book took a few chapters for me to really get started, once I got into the right mind set, it was a very good read. It kept moving quickly through the story. Mr. Whitlatch has a smooth, easy-to-read writing style with clear, crisp action and great dialog. The story itself is an relevant look at a post-apocalyptic world where drinkable water is more valuable than just about anything.
