I almost forgot about the constant switch between Justin and Dr. Justin Morgan in the narrative...

Just realized that the kids aren't described as being a boy and girl until their names are given? Why use 'small child' and 'it' if it's obvious they're a boy and girl? It's one thing with a newborn; but these kids are 1 and 3.

It's just confusing.
