The Neolithic humans were sooo anti factory farms

Admittedly struggled with following the main argument in chapter 5 - it seemed fo me like it was all over the place and pulling at strings to prove the case that slavery and domination existed in the pre-agricultural world for reasons beyond….increased production? Say, for cultural reasons or even political schismogenesis? Maybe I missed the point.

Certainly an intellectual challenge, but very rewarding. One thing I’m struggling with (and it may just be that I am completely foreign to anthropology) is that it feels like the authors are developing their argument in a reallllyyy broad way, which makes hard to follow a single continuous thread
