i love it so much the writing is so goood i’m so fiercely protective of these characters i feel like this book is going to leave me a MESS. i cant help but think of my grandad especially because he had a similar experience however he was a lot older.

i can imagine everything so vividly, i see what paul sees i feel what jilli feels, i can hear the gunshots and the loudness of the market place. i imagine everything and then think of my grandad who went through a similar situation. really beautiful story.
