The author describes the least “evil” gradation as “justifiable homicide” — in example, Richard Jahnke Jr.’s killing of his abusive father. This makes me wonder how, in less extreme circumstances during which someone who chooses to kill someone else, it can be determined whether the instance of killing is justifiable
