I've never read a book where the author forgets the names of his own characters, until now. Commander Tycho suddenly became Commander Vito. Ambassador Gruba became Gruber and then back to Gruba. At one point he's even Vito Gruba.

A lot of other names feel like lip service to BSG/Trek or other actors/characters - Thrace, Katee, potentially even Ambassador One. It's distracting.
