I am reading this because (1) I am doing TA work for undergrad EM course, and (2) I met two students of Robert Wald recently in a conference and they told me why this book is great (and from what they told me I think it will surely be so). His GR book was very nice, so I hope this won't disappoint (unlikely to disappoint, really).

Finished Chapter 3 on dielectrics. Very beautifully written. Of course it’s a bit much for undergraduates because there is no worked example but as a complement this would clarify a lot of things.

Finished Chapter 2. I think in few years time most people will go for this instead of Jackson, or at least Jackson will be relegated into supplementary text as a source of problem sets.

Finished Chapter 1, where Wald tried to clear up "myths" in standard textbooks of classical electrodynamics (which includes Griffifths' and Jackson's I think). I am sold --- since I know more general relativity than electrodynamics, and I also have better understanding of (algebraic) QFT now, I strongly agree with his approach of viewing things outlined in Chapter 1. This is a must-read.
