I love books that read like movies. The action is all there, but you get to paint the pictures in your head. That said, why isn't this a movie yet?

I wish Danthres wasn't ugly, though. I get that it shapes her, but human/elf hybrids just don't seem like they should be ugly. Every time she's called ugly, my mind jars, because I think of her as beautiful - even though I'm told otherwise.

It's no wonder the author does panels about strong female characters, Danthres is a tour de force. And yet she has flaws, which in reality makes her even stronger.

I don't think I've ever read a book with accents and dialects before that didn't make me gnash my teeth. These read very well. It's astonishing.
