Pg 24: “he had the long sleeves of his white shirt pushed up to his elbows…”

Pg 32: “…it was obvious that they were all dressed exceptionally well; simply, but in clothes that subtly hinted at designer origins”.

Pg 169: “ I suddenly realized that I have never once noticed what he was wearing…”

Are we surprised by the inconsistency? No. Am I still mad? Yes.

Random Twi-Thought #2

“Edward sometimes spoke with unfamiliar cadences and phrases that better fit the style of a turn of the century novel…”

I have read this book 30 times and every time SM mentions that Edward talks in some ancient vernacular I don’t understand what she’s referring to. His dialogue up to this point has been “you don’t like the cold” and “I’m dangerous.” How Shakespearean.

Random twi-thought #1:

Bella spends a considerable amount of time thinking that Edward regrets saving her from the car crash. I get that he’s acting all grumpy and emo around her, but does she honestly think this teenage boy is sitting there thinking, “man, I kinda wish I let that girl die horribly in front of the entire school population”. The melodrama is just a little out of touch here.
