Curious, how do you get a page count for the mag? I just guesstimate on my tablet.

I actually first checked that the paper version has 227 pages and on my e-reader it is 182 (I use CoolReader app), while to check % I have to exit the book, so for books were e-pages are below paper pages in number I often use e-pages

Hi Oleksandr, many thanks. Yikes, you'd think they'd make it easier. I get Clarkesworld as an e-mag via Amazon every month. With Asimov's, you can toggle between the print format and the e-version to see which page you're on, but Clarkesworld doesn't have this. I will try CoolReader.

For Asimov's I'm subscribed via Magzter and they supply print-copy equivalent, so there pages are correct, but it is problematic if you want to read it on most ink-readers - they have only android/iphone apps and web-browser versions, so one cannot just drop it on their device

Yup, it is a problem. I'm trying to get into audiobooks as well, which has been tough as I can't even make notes. I was a print subscriber to Asimov's and Locus for years and then switched to the Kindle version as it is so much cheaper and more reliable (I regularly had issues go missing in the post.) Technology gives with the one hand, and takes with the other.
