I HATE BEING HAPPY APPARENTLY


What is wrong with me.

Heavily considering just stopping right here, because mudder effin' MARY ANN HER BETRAYING CATH'S SECRETS TO HER PARENTS AND NOW THEY THINK JEST IS A BAD GUY AND--
Mary Ann's bonnet really is the catalyst for all of this. (Just destroy it, Cath! I know you can't, but I wish you could!)
Friggin Mary Ann. I'm probably gonna hate everyone named Mary Ann now. Gods, Mary Ann. Why would you do that?

So, can I stop right here? Because this is basically where it all goes downhill. Mary Ann betrays Cath's secret, the Pinkertons become convinced Jest is evil, Cath and Co try to run to Chess, Mary Ann gets caught, something untypable happens, Cath becomes Queen of Hearts. All downhill. All things that will cause me pain all over again.
Again, can I just (Jest, ha ha) stop here? For happiness's sake?

(reading it for the second time reveals that Cath'll break her ankle and reprimand the King for his lack of an effort to deal with the Jabberwock)

Also stupid Mary Ann and her stupid bonnet. Her feckin bonnet giving her feckin IDEAS and feckin RUINING EVERYTHING WHY MARY ANN YOU HAD ONE JOB WHY COULDNT YOU JUST STAY IN THE HOUSE DOIN G WHATEVER IT IS YOURE SUPOSED TO BE DOING YOU KILLED THE MIAN CHACTER'S FIRST LOVE WHAT THE CRAP MARY ANN
*ahem* I must compose myself.

Ah, that touching moment in the book where Jest says that if Cath were to end the courtship with the King, he would talk to her dad and offer his own courtship.
