Finished part 1 about 30s Spain and ends just before the summer of 1936 and the beginnings of the nationalist revolution. Mostly about the politics. Fine but dry. Read about 100 pages of part 2 about the early war and the conditions in the different areas of Spain under control of different factions. Enjoying it more and reading it faster than part 1
