Well it's a sword and everyone is probably called 'she'...
Ah. It's definitely not as space opera-ish as the first one. More like a political/social SF novel in line with like... BEST OF ALL POSSIBLE WORLDS or the less action oriented parts of UP AGAINST IT.
So jealous you have a copy!
