Too much detail. I wish there was a two page summary.

There is a lot of material on the Eridu site. I am moving on to the city of Ur. This chapter is about cities. It is called Prehistory because it is before writing but scholars think differently now.

It is not outdated. I get a baseline here. Uruk period is well covered by books which must be consulted.

Mallowan chapter is very long, I need to plough through it. For the Uruk period I need other books.

Now chapter 7a by Mellaart.

Chapter 2 has excellent information but it’s putting me to sleep. Geography is not my thing.

That was enough geology. Chapter one ends on page 34. Chapter 2 seems to be about who knows what. Let me try to read.

For earth history I need to study much later books but it is interesting that so many pages are devoted to geology.

I am not going to read all chapters. The first one is on earth history and is extremely well written. Geology textbooks are quite difficult to like.
