I just finished the prologue. It was AMAZING. Reading about the Tupiniquin was so fascinating. The punishment for survival being castigation from one’s own people - to be no warrior. Wow. I can’t imagine surviving a POW camp and returning to my family, only to be ignored and threatened by death.

I’m looking forward to reading Book One - The Portuguese.
