Found this in one of the little libraries at a trail head, and I needed a new "emergency book" to carry around in my bag. Time to give it a whirl 🤷♀️

Okay but honestly, this has not "claimed" my interest at all 😩
Hopefully I can finish it this weekend and return it to a little library somewhere near me for someone else to enjoy a heck of a lot more than I am.
Also, maybe it's just because I haven't read the BDB series, but I am not vibing with these chapter interruptions to swap over to a character from a different series that I literally do not care about

I have to ask you (because it looks like characters from BDB show up in this, I've met two so far, but I haven't read that series).... do more of the characters in BDB have terrible names? (I just realized how judgy that sounds, but I am getting like, almost pretentious vibes. Like, there's a character named Xhex and I looked her up and found out there's a character named Murhder? Rehvenge? Please help me, are they all like that? I'm down for unique names, but omg I just cannot for the life of me take those seriously and don't know if I could get through a whole series of that 😩).
