Why is this so boring??
Why is the prose so clunky??
Why doesn't Addie feel like a 17th century girl but a modern day girl teleported back?? Would the development be the most interesting part? Why why why

The instalove is stupid af – they had no connection at all and I feel like if it weren’t for the deals, they would have never formed a relationship.
And the book is sooo repetitive – WTF
Every little idea and beat and thought gets repeated ad nauseam and not in a way that illustrates the repetitiveness of (an infinitely long) life, but in a way that illustrates that noone has ever edited this mess.

It feels so full of empty phrases -- even in the modern day New York parts I just don't buy that she is more than 300 years old -- she reads exactly like a normal 20-something with some seemingly heavy-weight phrases thrown in that mean nothing -- and why is she interested in young boys??
