Yes, I'm finally starting the very much hyped The Atlas Six, and so far so good. The characters, worldbuilding, and magic system intrigued. And of course, I'm liking how Olivie uses magic and the Alexandrian Society as a vehicle to explore the biases and injustices of academia.

The best way I can describe this book is that it’s like what a Creative Writing major would write if they were to write a dissertation on magic. 😂
Also, I’m convinced only Nico is genuinely on Libby’s side. I’m pretty sure Parisa only used Libby to get on her good graces to avoid elimination, and Tristan is just tiptoeing around Libby. Libby must be so powerful that everyone feels so threatened of her.

Okay, I get why many people love this book. The author's writing style is addictive, and she's skilled enough that her prose reads lovely. I have to say that the characters are my favorite part of this book. They're just so compelling, and I find it interesting how Olivie pairs the characters' personalities with their powers. Like, Callum is an empath but couldn't care less about people, and so on and so forth.
